About Mei
“The world is full enough of hurts and mischances without wars to multiply them.”
― J.R.R. Tolkien, The Return of the King
Growing up in the midst of war was never easy. Especially when it was the same people who spoke about the joy and virtues of peace that struck their enemies with daggers. To a child and even to most adults, this was confusing. Why fight a war if we speak about peace behind closed doors? Why should we fight if fighting is something we do not believe in? Mei had always been conflicted.

She grew up inspired by the valiant soldiers who paraded though the castle after successful battles, and decided at a young age to reject the philosophies which spoke of peace and become a warrior herself. So with her brother and a select few of other children with high potential, Mei was trained under strict rules and harsh conditions. As soon as she spoke of war to her father, her childhood was stripped away and replaced with the truth of the world. The darker side of things which are so neatly tucked away behind the scenes.
After many years, when Mei was sixteen, she fought for the first time. Natural skill had begun to form, and quickly the alien rose up the ranks. When she was seventeen, she rose to become a squadron leader, and kept gaining power from there.

Mei's personality is generally collected and controlled, and she has a great ability to make on-the-spot decisions. She dislikes the limelight and would rather stay behind the scenes assessing situations and thinking about them. Overall, she would rather spend time alone than in a group, and would rather have time to read and enjoy nature than fight.
